“Wow, the setting, the food, the service, top notch. It’s what you would expect from a place named the Grand Hotel. Gregory was not only a great server but also quite the philosopher. This is exactly what I was hoping for but then it exceeded my expectations. The dishes shown are beef tenderloin and swordfish. As we were enjoying our meal we watched the sun slowly sink into the horizon over a fabulous view of the bay.”

Reviews:

“I love this place! I eat here almost every time I visit! In fact, now that I’ve thought about it I have eaten here every time I visit my family. I always try to get something a little bit different and every single meal has been fantastic. If you can get there in time get the appetizer crab balls appetizer before they run out. They are fantastic. They have homemade potato chips that are just wonderful. I suggest dipping them in the remoulade. This visit, my sister (and nephew) got the bouillabaisse for lunch which I encouraged since I love it the last time. Unfortunately, they didn’t hit their mark this time. Too watery and the leeks overpowered the rest of this French stew. Otherwise, we all loved our meals! My father was gaga over their Snapper throats, my BIL enjoyed his Grouper sandwich! I went with their Sunset Pointe Salad, which is tasty and beautiful to look at, making it a wonderful meal.

I love that they updated and extended the roof over the back patio, and added more outdoor mood lighting to improve our experience. It used to be very hot in the sun, but now the new shade is just perfect and it makes the experience and the breeze off the water lovely.”

“Manci’s is a bar, grille, local place in Old Town Daphne. Looks small but is really large inside with booth and table seating. Memorabilia all over walls from history of the town. Burgers are old fashioned, with generous meat patty and usual toppings. Service is great, very casual and friendly. I think it’s just the spot you hope to find in a small town, with good casual-style food and plenty of atmosphere.”
